WELCOME!

President's Statement (con't)

The mission of the IMTA is straightforward: we aim to enhance and support a sustainable medical travel industry for the benefit of improving international patient care.  Achieving this goal is a team effort that can be realized only with the input of many valuable industry sectors such as hospitals & healthcare systems, government bodies & tourism boards, doctors, dentists, nurses, and of course the global travel industry.

As the IMTA moves forward we are building core support in major areas to enhance what we now call “Global Healthcare”.  As President of the IMTA I would like to see all patients, everywhere in the world, have access to  affordable, high-quality healthcare.  This can only happen through assessing our members’ needs, their professional development, and education.  While networking and adoption of best practices are tools for today, we will need   new tools for the patients of tomorrow.

IMTA and its members are the authoritative voice in medical travel today.  Our organizational vitality and credibility are centered in the knowledge of our members, their operational excellence, and their economic stability.  As often the best medical solutions come from multidisciplinary planning so to will the best global healthcare structures.  Diversity of membership and systems for working together will yield not only a strong and healthy organization but also the best care for the future.

As  the commitment of the IMTA is to our members, so too our  members are all committed to providing the best care for international medical travelers.  I encourage everyone to join us in this commitment and participate in the development and leadership of the IMTA.
