Welcome!

International Medical Travel Association

PRESIDENT'S STATEMENT

Welcome!

The mission of the IMTA is straightforward: we aim to enhance and support a sustainable medical travel industry for the benefit of improving international patient care.  Achieving this goal is a team effort that can be realized only with the input of many valuable industry sectors such as hospitals & healthcare systems, government bodies & tourism boards, doctors, dentists, nurses, and of course the global travel industry.

As the IMTA moves forward we are building core support in major areas to enhance what we now call “Global Healthcare”.  As President of the IMTA I would like to see all patients, everywhere in the world, have access to  affordable, high-quality healthcare.  This can only happen through assessing our members’ needs, their professional development, and education

WHO WE ARE

What is the International Medical Travel Association?

As the fast-growing sectors of Global Healthcare and Medical Travel begin to influence industry professionals as well as patients, there are often more questions than answers. International providers want to know more about international quality assurance standards and liability issues, and how to attract patients into their facilities. Healthcare consumers are concerned about continuity of care, malpractice and a host of timely issues.

As an assocation of global healthcare community leaders, we at IMTA are here to help address these important topics and help connect providers, patients, employers, insurers and third party brokers. Now in our second year of service, our membership base is growing from a robust group of early adopters into a collaboration among tomorrow’s leaders on the Global Healthcare landscape. <read more>
